History & Mission

The Place

A handful of rough and solid stone and larch wood country houses. The historical village, whose original toponym, La Thuilettaz, recalls the better known Les Tuileries, is located in the middle of the steep and green pastures of the Alta Valle del Gran San Bernardo, in the Aosta Valley.

The Structure

Located at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, the hamlet sees its first original plant in 1630. La Thuillettaz is the original name of this small village.

The Idea

The Ideal Place. We have recovered this beautiful Alpine village with passion and patience. We have reconstructed his past story piece by piece.

The Objective. To learn a new way of living and dwelling, high in the mountains.

The Project

We have designed and implemented the recovery of the unique and original buildings integrated with the history of these mountains. We have reused all materials, recovered the stones, restored the woods. All the work was done with great attention, from the study to the realization up to the reception.

The Welcome

La Thuillettaz offers its guests, in maximum privacy and in a charming and comfortable structure, a warm and familiar welcome in an environment of tranquility and natural beauty according to the best tradition of Aosta Valley hospitality and with the utmost respect for nature and local architecture, with a desire to making every guest a special guest.
